The United Way Hastings & Prince Edward invites community partners and supporters to our Annual General Meeting. The event takes place on Tuesday, June 19 from 4:45 to 6 p.m. at Maranatha Church, 100 College St. W., Belleville. At the event, the United Way will release its Community Impact Report for the 2017-18 fiscal year. The report will highlight accomplishments over the past year and speak to how donations have benefited our 37 agencies and approximately 70 programs. The work of these agencies is reflected in at least of one of the United Way’s three pillars: All That Kids Can Be, Strong Communities and From Poverty to Possibility.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Mr. Joe Folk, Plant Manager for Procter & Gamble’s Belleville location. Under Mr. Folk’s leadership, and through the generosity of members of his massive team, Procter & Gamble continues to demonstrate the values of a socially, community-minded business. As the largest contributor to the United Way’s Community Giving Campaign, Mr. Folk will discuss the need for caring corporations to build community health and wellness. As part of a network of Caring Corporations, P&G leads the charge to ensure that no one is left behind—building a stronger, healthier and more inclusive community.
