    This is nearly 2% above the provincial average, preventing residents from obtaining access to basic needs.

    Of HPE families are not food secure.

    Why it matters:

    Everyone needs access to a nutritional diet and regular meals to be the best that they can be.

  • 3rd

    Our community is currently ranked very high in Core Housing Need, behind only Toronto and Vancouver.

    Why it matters:

    Everyone deserves access to a supply of affordable, suitable and adequate housing to ensure that they are properly housed and not at risk of homelessness.

United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is helping individuals to find meaningful employment, manage expenses and support their families from job skills training and continuing education opportunities to finance literacy programs.
