Cheese Lovers UNITE—A Cheesy Way to Fundraise

November 22, 2022

Local artisanal cheese maker Maple Dale Cheese Co. has partnered with United Way Hastings & Prince Edward on a Christmas initiative called Cheese Lovers Unite.

From NOVEMBER 21 – DECEMBER 20, Maple Dale Cheese Co. will donate $10 from the sale of a limited edition, private stock of 3 yr Aged Small Batch Cheddar Cheese to the 2022 United Way HPE Campaign. 2000 generously sized 2lb blocks will sell for $20 each.

“Maple Dale Cheese is renowned for their quality artisanal cheese. We are grateful that a local company has opted to support their local community in such a unique way” says Brandi Hodge, Executive Director. “As we head into the holiday season, this is a perfect initiative—offering a product that many are likely to purchase anyways. It really is a win-win for our community.”

Paul Henry, Owner, Maple Dale Cheese Co. has a long tradition of giving back and this partnership is no exception. “It’s timely. Whether you’re attending a gathering, need a gift, or hosting a party yourself, every Christmas celebration typically includes cheese” says Henry. “We have the product, and United Way has the means of turning the proceeds into positive impact in our community. We are excited to partner on an initiative that can help so many people.”

Cheese will go on sale Monday November 21st and can be purchased by visiting Maple Dale Cheese Co. 2864 Hwy #37, R.R. 1, Plainfield or by going online at
