Reimagining Generosity for Tomorrow: A Collaborative Design Thinking Workshop

While Canada is a generous country, just 22% of Canadians account for half of all giving. That means the act of giving is concentrated among a very small group of people, and this group is older and wealthier. Broadly, we’re experiencing a world with more isolation and polarization, and research shows a correlation between social connections and pro-social behaviours like giving and volunteering. If we want a sustainable charitable sector, we must become co-architects of a more generous culture.

Led by Duke Chang, President & CEO of CanadaHelps, who brings over 20 years of design thinking experience, this interactive workshop leverages a structured, iterative process to foster open dialogue and actionable outcomes. Participants will collaborate to co-create strategies to reshape public perception and re-engage Canadians in giving back that they can bring back to their own communities and organizations.
