United Way Hastings and Prince Edward Surpasses $2 Million in 2022

Belleville, ON – United Way Hastings & Prince Edward announced the success of the 2022 campaign this morning alongside supporters at the Fairfield Inn. In total $2,104,711 was raised during the 2022 fundraising campaign, surpassing the goal of $2,000,000 set back in September.

The morning breakfast celebration began with keynote speaker Dan McCullough, Assistant General Manager (AGM) at Magna Autosystems in Belleville and 2022 Campaign Cabinet Member. McCullough spoke to a crowd of 130 people about Magna’s support of the United Way campaign and highlighted the importance of incorporating community engagement within the workplace.

“Our employees had the opportunity to take part in many community initiatives this past year, with a number of those involving United Way HPE programs. We are enthralled by the stories our colleagues come back with; it inspires us to do even more for our community. We support United Way as a team and are proud to play a continuous role in its success!” Dan McCullough, AGM at Magna Autosystems and 2022 Campaign Cabinet member.

The 2022 volunteer Campaign Chair, Hilary Murphy, Director of Engineering & Business Development at TaskForce Engineering expresses her appreciation of our community’s continuous support.  “It has been an honour to witness, first-hand, how generous and supportive this community has been in supporting those in need,” says Murphy. “Support might have been a monetary donation, an opportunity to volunteer or simply spreading the word.  Learning and understanding one another goes a long way to creating a healthy community for all and I am very proud to have had a front row seat to see what the United Way HPE and this community are capable of when we all work together.”

United Way Hastings & Prince Edward Executive Director, Brandi Hodge, thanked the many donors, volunteers and partners who supported the 2022 campaign “Our community has done it once again” reports Hodge, “because of your generosity local programs that are making a real difference in our community are able to continue their important work, helping to meet the immediate needs of people who need it most.
