Another successful Day of Caring in 2024!

Thursday June 20^th, 2024 – despite it being one of the hottest on record, droves of volunteers came out to show their support of United Way HPE’s annual Day of Caring – proudly presented by Welch LLP and Loyalist College. This year, a record 345 volunteers are dedicating their time to help complete 54 projects across Hastings & Prince Edward at 33 separate organizations. They all came together for one goal: to make a difference in our community.

This morning the 2024 Day of Caring kicked-off with a coffee and rally at Quinte Mall, where volunteers were energized and motivated to start the day with stories of impact and gratitude. Today’s projects range from landscaping and painting to tree planting and building a shelter. Each project is not only making a tangible impact for local organizations in our community, but also provides volunteers with a rewarding sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.
