Backpacks for Success

United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is proud to present the Backpacks for Success Program, helping local families with the cost of back-to-school supplies. This impactful initiative is designed to help local students head into the new school year with confidence, pride, and the essential supplies they need to succeed.

 

In 2025, more than 1,200 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 throughout Hastings & Prince Edward counties received their brand-new backpack, filled with age-appropriate school supplies for just $12.00!

This community-driven program wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of local sponsors and community donors. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Peter Smith GM Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC Belleville and Elexicon Energy for powering the 2025 Backpacks for Success campaign and helping local kids shine!
