Registration Now Open for United Way HPE’s 2025 Backpacks for Success Program!

United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is thrilled to announce the launch of its 2025 Backpacks for Success registration! This impactful initiative is designed to help local students head into the new school year with confidence, pride, and the essential supplies they need to succeed.

As families continue to feel the pressure of rising living costs, Backpacks for Success is a lifeline for many in our community. The program ensures that students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 receive a brand-new backpack filled with age-appropriate school supplies—helping to level the playing field and promote success in the classroom.

“There’s nothing more powerful than giving a child the confidence to start the school year ready to learn,” says Kaitlyn Lalonde, Director of Community Impact at United Way Hastings & Prince Edward.

Each backpack can be purchased by families for just $12.00 per child, making it an accessible option for many. Registration is now open online at www.unitedwayhpe.ca/backpacks and will remain open until Friday, July 11, 2025 — or while quantities last. Those unable to register online are encouraged to call United Way HPE at 613-962-9531 for assistance.
