Registration opens for United Way HPE’s 2024 Backpacks for Success Program!

United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is proud to continue its longstanding Backpack for Success program. This initiative addresses the growing financial challenges many families and students face in accessing essential school supplies. With the rising cost of living creating more barriers, United Way HPE aims to ensure that every student has the necessary tools to success in school through this program.

”Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and we believe that every student deserves access to the resources they need to succeed, “ says Kaitlyn Lalonde, Director of Community Impact at United Way Has????ngs & Prince Edward. “The Backpack for Success program is just one way we are working to support students in our community.”

United Way Hastings & Prince Edward will be filling backpacks with grade appropriate supplies for students from kindergarten to grade 12. Backpacks can be purchased by families/individuals for $12.00 each, per child by registering online at www.unitedwayhpe.ca/backpacks (WHILE QUANTITIES LAST) before it closes on Friday, July 5, OR if you are unable to register online, you can call United Way HPE’s office at 613-962-9531.
