The ultimate burger battle is coming to Hastings & Prince Edward!
November 1, 2024Get ready for the ultimate showdown in Hastings & Prince Edward – it’s time for Novemburger presented by Maple Dale Cheese!
Nine local restaurants are teaming up with United Way HPE for a burger extravaganza throughout the entire month of November. Novemburger is not just about delicious food, but also about giving back to the community. Each restaurant will create a unique burger for the challenge, with $2 from each burger sold going to the United Way. At the end of the month, one of these spectacular burger creations will emerge victorious as HPE’s Top Novemburger of the Year, as voted by Novemburger Ambassadors.
“Throughout the month-long campaign, we invite community members, burger lovers, and foodies to visit each of our 9 participating restaurants and try their versions of the Novemburger” said Brandi Hodge, Executive Director of United Way HPE. “Having partners that know the importance of participating in community events like this is invaluable to our organization– thanks to all of the participating restaurants for joining us for our very first Novemburger.”
Diners can expect burgers of all sorts; restaurants will be getting creative – and maybe even a little wacky – with their burger creations. Participating locations include The Local Social, Legendz Pub, The Dugout, Law and Orders, Capers, The Beaufort Pub, Burger Revolution, Shoeless Joe’s Belleville and Bboyz.
Ambassadors for Novemburger help promote the cause, encourage community engagement, and drive donations. They are local influencers, community leaders, or volunteers dedicated to making a positive impact.

Throughout the month of November, community members can rate the burgers they tried by voting online for their favourite Novemburger. At the end of the month, the three burgers with the most votes will be crowned People’s Choice Novemburger. Participants can access a Novemburger Passport which allows them to keep track of how many burgers they’ve tried. Those who try five or more have the chance to become a Novemburger Ambassador next year by dropping off the filled passport to our office.
Workplaces can also get in on the fun with the Novemburger @ Work program, bringing delicious burgers straight to your office for a staff luncheon. It’s a great way to build team spirit and support a worthy cause at the same time.
