United Way Hastings & Prince Edward Seeks Passionate Community Leaders for Board of Directors

Belleville, ON –May 9, 2025 — United Way Hastings & Prince Edward (UWHPE) is inviting community-minded individuals from across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties to apply to join its Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a trusted organization dedicated to creating lasting, positive change in our communities.

As a member of UWHPE’s Board, you’ll help shape the direction of one of the region’s most impactful non-profits, working collaboratively to improve lives through strategic investments in local programs that support children and youth, build strong communities, and lift people from poverty to possibility.

“We are looking for individuals who bring a range of skills, experiences, and perspectives to the table,” says Elvin Green, Chair of United Way HPE’s Board of Directors. “In particular, we encourage applications from those with expertise in finance, human resources, law, and strategic planning—though anyone with a passion for community impact is welcome to apply.”

UWHPE is committed to reflecting the diversity of the communities it serves. Applications are especially encouraged from individuals living in rural areas such as North Hastings and Central Hastings. To support broad and inclusive participation, virtual attendance at board and committee meetings is available.

Board members serve as ambassadors, advocates, and decision-makers, guiding UWHPE in fulfilling its mission: Through caring and generosity, we improve lives and build a strong community for all.
