United Way HPE fundraising campaign tracking well!

12 weeks into a 19 week fundraising campaign, and United Way Hastings & Prince Edward has raised 60% of their $2 Million goal. .

November was a busy month with the annual GivingTuesday initiative that leveraged over $30,000 in giving thanks to a matching program sponsored by McDougall Insurance & Financial as well as a virtual auction sponsored by TaskForce Engineering that raised over $40,000. “Our community is very generous” says Brandi Hodge, United Way HPE Executive Director. “” It is still too early to predict whether the $2 million goal is achievable, but – so far it feels good – we are cautiously optimistic”.

“TaskForce was honoured to sponsor this years Virtual auction,” said Hilary Murphy, 2022 Campaign Chair, Director of Engineering & Business Development at TaskForce Engineering. “We understand the importance of United Way in our community and how much it is needed.” Murphy states this is the first time as the Chair and was thrilled to lead this campaign as this is the community that helps to shape and mould her children and their view of people and the world. It is incredibly important that we lead by example with kindness and empathy towards others, as the next generation is watching.

For new donors, any gift of $500 or more is eligible to be matched by the Maurice and Marilyn Rollins Foundation—significantly increasing the positive impact on the community.
